5G International Symposium 2020
～Creating the future with 5G～

Co-hosted by: The Fifth Generation Mobile Communications Promotion Forum (5GMF),
Association of Radio Industries and Businesses, Japan (ARIB)
Supported by Telecommunication Technology Committee (TTC)
MIC, in cooperation with 5GMF and ARIB, will host the 5G International Symposium 2020-“Creating the future with 5G”-to announce the results of this year’s 5G Field Trials (*), in which stakeholders from various fields of use participate as part of efforts to realize the 5th generation mobile communication system in 2020.
5G is a next-generation mobile communication system with features such as “ultra -high speed / high capacity”, “ultra-low latency”, and “multiple simultaneous connections”.
MIC has been conducting 5G Field Trials since FY2017, in which stakeholders in various fields of use participate to create a new market through the realization of 5G. Based on the results of the 5G utilization idea contest held in January, etc., we are conducting a 5G Field Trials focusing on utilization models that contribute to solving 5G regional issues.
At this international symposium, the results of this year’s 5G Field Trials will be widely announced in Japan and overseas, and in order to give visitors a chance to experience the world of 5G realization, the exhibition on the 5G Field Trials will be held in the venue. Conduct a demo. In addition, a presentation panel discussion will be held by stakeholders in 5G utilization fields to share the impact of 5G and discuss issues to accelerate the realization.
